UAF Charity Weekend
The non-profit organization was founded in 2008 by a group of professional athletes who understood their unique role in improving the lives of both the athlete fraternity, as well as the general community, by leveraging their celebrity status to help the cities in which they live.
In 2012, they were looking to step up and generate national publicity for their efforts. CO&P arranged for a ESPN tour with NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown that included numerous interviews across all their platforms (ESPN.com, Sports Center, ESPN Radio). We also utilized NFL legend Ray Lewis for numerous national outlets such as Dan Patrick Show, FOX Sports Radio and a profile on ESPN’s E:60 TV newsmagazine.
As part of the celebration in NYC, we arranged for a visit to the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Interviews were arranged with multiple outlets including CNBC and The Deal.
The massive publicity from the three-day event generated significant increased interest from athletes, sponsors and media.
